Courses and comments…

The Advanced Resuscitation and Life Support (ARLS) course is authored by the Australian Institute for Clinical Education, and we plan that it will increasingly be recognised as the gold standard in resuscitation education.

The ARLS course takes resuscitation education to the cutting edge of modern education. Across the world the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the move into online, mobile and blended-learning education, in recognition that learning has to change, not only because of the potential for infection, but also because of the recognition that digital technology has empowered us to revolutionise clinical teaching and learning.

The Practitioner Immediate Life Support (PILS) course is authored by the Australian Institute for Clinical Education, and we plan that it will increasingly be recognised as the gold standard in resuscitation education for in-hospital teams.

Recognising that in-hospital Medical Emeregncy Teams may have limited time for training, and that MET members come from different disciplines and also may have had disparate levels prior education in identification of the critically ill or deteriorating patients, the PILS course delivers theory and focused practice, based on the same principles as the ARLS course, but delivered in a standard half-day training opportunity, on site in your hospital.
